What makes a good article headline

Headline is first thing that people see in search results. A good headline for any type of blog post or article or may be a landing page is that clearly tell reader how the content in this webpage will help you. For example in this blog post I write title / headline as 'What make a good headline'.

I did search for the key phrase attention grabbing headline and there are innumerable article around same in different  ways. Purpose of all those articles is same to get viewership. My purpose is also same. I would expect that someone read this article and then contact me to write for her brand.

If I have not written this article here for my small readership base then too there is plenty of that available over internet.

This is why I decided to put it my ways, what I think about a good headline.

  • A good headline should be small enough such that it can be read in a fraction of a second.
  • It must not contain to many helping verbs and special characters.
  • Only meaningful special characters can make part of your headline.
  • Follow the rules of Google SEO to write your headlines.
  • Headline fonts should not be boring but not too creative either if you are not a designer.
Similar rules follows for writing sub heading. Though you can add much freely subheading in your articles or blog posts but create sub heading when its truly needed.

Headline could be 1 letter or 1 word or may be couple of words but it should raise some emotion. Headline brings many people on your article. No matter how nicely an article is written majority web surfers will overlook if headline is not attention grabbing.

Be cautions, do not copy others, give in your article what headline promise, give more. If your article is not valuable then you will loose reputation among readers and search engine ranking too.

How to Write Permalink for Blogger Blog Post

Are you a blogger like me who use blogger.com free CMS to write blog posts? Well, writing a permalink is as important as putting water to boil in a kettle over flame for making a cup of coffee. It tastes great when water heats up till accurate temperature. Permalink is like appropriate flame to heat up water for making a cup of coffee. By definition, a permalink is the link url of a webpage that audience refer to others and put on a web page for reference. This is the same page url that displays on the address bar in a web browser. Once a permalink is created, you can never change it. If you will change it the reference url put by others across internet for your page simply will result in an error page, and nobody want to see error page. Search engine ranks negatively such websites and blogs that have error pages. In other words (SEO Terms) it’s called broken link. Search Engine hates broken links.

Why to hire human copywriter when AI can do the job

Good question, that many many many zombies throw at me when I discuss Copywriting. Of course Copywriting is not for zombies. If you are a person or company who has hired a Copywriter to make money then do not hire. Your goal is survival and not zoom or use change as an opportunity. Your question is pretty similar: why drink water when I have sweetlime tree in the backyard and a juicer in the kitchen. However, if you are a professional, business person, company or someone looking to make a change then a Copywriter is worth hiring. Why? If you are a beginner and truly stuck between thoughts of hiring a writer or going with AI, my suggestion is Go with both. Chose a human to use tools, chose a Copywriter to write and encourage him to use AI in creating copy. AI connects you with libraries worldwide and presents data in certain formats. It cannot add human touch. AI can not differentiate between good and bad, AI does not know who is your audience. A Copywriter can seek help from AI to fetc...
