How to get quality traffic on a single page website that converts

Single page website? Not a bad idea. May be you want to sell your products online. You can not write too much as you are too busy in creating and modifying your product. And you need to travel a lot for promotions.

Outsourcing could be one of the answer but if your budget is tight then hiring a freelancer may drain your money. And writing regular blog post would be tough. In such a situation one page website can serve the purpose. It will be easy to update especially if its cms based may be like wordpress for example.

Its one page website with simple product picture, detailed description, ways to order and customer review. You are not tech savvy and don't want to invest too much on website's geeky things. One page is enough for you. Its doable, but without traffic how will you generate online sales. That is the question right?

I said quality traffic that converts and make your bank account numbers increase. After all you mean sales.

Its a good idea that you want to focus on your product so let it be.

Generating online leads is important. Customers are too busy to visit a shop today. They prefer to order online. But how, here we go into deeper details...

Find your tribe: Look for people online who sell a similar product. Know where are other sellers. Follow Guy Kawasaki I am sure you will learn from him. More about Guy at https://guykawasaki.com/

Find your related tribe: What other key things your customer might be using. And from where they get those. Know those sellers market place. And if your website is based on something like wordpress you can always get a plugin to make the task easier. Go for paid versions.

Minimize your market: World is too big, customers are everywhere. Identify your geography and make an impact.

Look customers foot prints online: Where your potential customer might be in online space. Is it Canva or Substack or medium. Make a hunt.

Find the quality crowd: You can not offer modular kitchen design to people living pay check to pay check. Know your customers profile well and profile of other sellers too.

Give your presence: When you know where are your customers be there. But limit your time. 20 minutes are not less.

Do not ask to buy: Interaction matters. Never ask anyone to buy your unique product. Interact with them. Solve their problems in your capacity. John Doerr the author of Measure What Matters coached many companies across United States Google is one of them. More details at https://www.whatmatters.com/

Build authority. Your personal branding will increase your website traffic.

Spend on advertising: Advertise your product online. If you have budget hire an expert and put genuine expectations. Tell your ad agency your target. Find few of those and hire one that you feel can meet the deadlines. Try couple of those before selecting the potential one. Or begin with Google Ads https://ads.google.com/

Patience is the key: You took years and spend your savings to build that unique product. Online Brand Reputation will take sometime to grow.

Fulfill Commitments: When you have a product that is unique and can solve problems of others sales will grow. Give what you offer.

Create a FAQ (Frequently Asked Section) on your single page website: Address Important Questions, think what questions your users may have about your product, pen down those and give answers.

Invite new questions: A potential customer may have a different question which you may not have answered in FAQs section. Within the FAQ section itself create a simple contact form to submit a new question. Make sure its reaching to email and auto responder is on for all such request. That will help. Your potential client will be rejoiced to know that reply will come soon.

Create a Site Indices: Display Site Menu on the most visible position. This way a site visitor will know how your website will help.

Work on your product continuously. Multiply its value 10x every year.

Who is your potential customer?

You know them, right? Now you need to know your customers' online search behavior. When looking for a product what words or phrases they search online that relates to your product or services. There are many tools to know this. Google trends in one of the good tool to know search keywords and search phrases related your product. Search google for different parameters like content, images news, videos, apps etc. Make a list of all those keywords and narrow down in your market. Select those keywords for those your probable user search for and to those you can deliver your product. Also do keyword research and analyze top related trends on ecommerce websites and learning platforms.

Narrow down your keywords, a keyword with high search volume is not necessarily good or bad. Find best fit search keywords that relates to your products and services.

Good keyword research will help you in two ways, one you can include those keywords on your website, and two, now you will know problems of your potential customers. You can add up solution related those searches in your product or a service you offer.

You might be thinking how to difficult task like designing a logo if you are not a designer. I am not a designer and I use Canva Do not rely on AI for doing everything. Indeed use Google Gemini to do side task for example to write email. AI is helpful tool for doing fine tuning. Its similar like you have written a beautiful essay in a word document. But you are not a Grammarian so you make use of Microsoft Dictionary to check spelling and Grammar. I understand AI that way.

SEO optimize your single page website

I suppose you are using a website builder to build your single page website. Most of the website builders comes with seo features. So anyone can make use of it without much knowledge of html codes. Make sure that you are using everything useful provided by website builder app. Put things rightly. Never suppose this thing may be of less importance.

Security Matters. Use JetPack https://jetpack.com/

Know your website sections. All features those appear on your one page website are small sections. Optimize all those. Optimize for customers, optimize for domain and host servers and optimize for search engines.

Anything that is visible on your website and any feature provide by website builder app that you are using like a micro section of your single page website. Optimize them all.

Optimization means put things in right ways.

Let me tell you with an example. Some people do not make proper file names when storing data in computers. Next when they look back after long to find a file they simply don't get where the file is stored. Many people don't put things in proper place, next they end up searching for it hours.

Search Engines and People who search for your product or services are strangers to you. Your single page website is a place. Search engine is like a Sales Girl. And I am afraid now of Larry Page

Are you putting outside link on your website

Is there a link on your website or text that may take your client or search engine out of your website?

If there is, optimize it, even if it belongs to you. For example, customer decides to make a call, from internet customer can come anytime of the day. When you can't take it right away, for those moments, turn on auto responder. USE AI

Quality traffic comes from optimization. To me optimization means doing small things right.

Its a great tool to know online search behavior of your potential clients. You will be better able to short list your client zone and address your customers issues as well. Do SEO for Search Engines: Write a clear title and keep title length sufficiently long but short enough. Use less help verbs to write title. Search Engine Robots work on binary systems. Indeed search engines are smart but the longer the title the more the work for robot. Secondly, page title is linked to search results clicking which a user will find your page. Therefore page title will be meaningful so a web surfer can understand your website is about what.

Update Your Website Regularly: Sounds tricky? Not really. I can tell at least 10 methods to update your one page website regularly if not daily then at least weekly or bi-weekly.

Let me tell you one, I am sure you will like it.

Here, I am supposing your are displaying your product logo top mid of home page. Festivals often comes in any society. Suppose today is festival X and next Month is Festival Z. Create a Carbon Copy of your logo and embed the greetings below it. World is not short of festivals.

However, when doing so make sure your message will make both website visitors and search engines happy.

Optimize ..... Optimize ...... Optimize.....

Optimization is like essence its small part of whole web property but without essence websites under perform.

Quality web architecture with right mix of smart tools and presentation is the key to get traffic on a single page website. Indeed its mandatory for any website.

Optimize your Single Page Website for Every Screen Size: People surf the web on different screen sizes. Enable your website for best viewing on any device and screen size. If you are using graphics and videos optimize them separately for all screen sizes.

Submit A Site Map: Submit site map to search engines. Normally website builders do it automatically. Check and Submit.

Greet your audience: Any method is cool to greet; text, graphics, videos that is your choice. A greeting message on your website will make them important. One word, statement, one symbol and they will be convinced to connect to you. Count of Copywriting. If you are not a copywriter hire one.

Do not become panicky for sales: Most panicked sale persons are those whose products has no value. Telling your audience and making a request to give it a try is completely fine. But do not over do. If your product is really valuable people will buy it.
