Why documentation is important for bloggers

More often I received requests to improve website SEO or build a new website or improve an existing one. One common problem with lot of those website owners and bloggers is they do not have any documents about their expectations. They say do it best, do it as you like, I mean business. Or maximum they present some similar site.

Imagine a legal professional showing you a similar site and its about a hotel or resort.

That is not the story of most novice only. Even people in IoT business since over a decade and software professionals act numb. This simply put off me.

Whenever you start a blog or website, ask yourself

  1. Why I am creating this website?
  2. Who are my prospects?
  3. What I expect from this website?
  4. How this website well fulfill my expectation?
  5. How I want this site to look like?
  6. How I will promote this website?
  7. How often I will need upgrade?
  8. How much budget and time I can allocate for this?
Write down answers to above questions and any additional one that you have? To help you design part find a similar site. And mark the changes those you want in the layout etc. If you are solo chose your theme very carefully so you can customize it whenever you like. If you are a team, engage designers, developers, writers, Social Media team etc in discussion. Do the documentation first. This will help you in building your blog and online business.

Do not jump on the project without brainstorming else you will end up in trouble. Starting a blog or any IoT project without documentation is the first step towards failure. And if you are a beginner ......., ......., ........

Hostgator India and Bigrock are not two different now

    Mergers and acquisitions are common in business world. To do business you need to join hands. Long back Hostgator was not in India, then it spread its wings and come to this geography.
