How to install security certificate for custom domain in Google Blogger

Google Blogger is my den of productivity since years. My first blog attracted huge traffic for years. And do you know this traffic was coming from only one single page. I love to blog on blogspot because while Google Engineers work on blackened I can focus on one thing I love to do i.e. writing.
Encrypted Secure connection was a big thing in the past but now its not a luxury. Google has rolled out https for custom domain for Indian bloggers. Encryption was available for Blogspot bloggers since years but not for those hosting a custom domain. Now its there.

I enabled secure connection for my blogs and doing this is just like signing in for an email or less. I was little bit hesitant, what will happen to my blog if I enable security certificate. I gave it a try and pretty fun to do.

  • Open Blog Spot Control Pannel
  • In the left on Top from blog list, chose your blog.
  • In the drop down Go to settings
  • On setting panel locate for Enable Https Feature, it will appear as No if not enabled before
  • Click On the arrow button, Yes option will pop out.
  • Select Yes.
  • Google will save the new settings and you are done.
Now this blog you are reading right now is secure, that means information will travel from blogspot server to your computer in fully encrypted mode. No one on the route of information highway will know if you are reading. Also when you send me a question using contact form, the information will travel over fully secure network from your machine to blogspot server to email server to my computer.
This blog URL is now https://www.dkoffice.in/

Shall I moderate blog comments

Perhaps you run a blog or you planning to have one up. You want more and more comment to build some links. Right? Everyone want. But the problem begins when you leave open comment section to everyone, so anyone can come and write a comment. Normally people start spamming.
This trend i have seen across all websites on Internet. So if you want to get some quality links moderate every comment. Be honest to yourself. Publish a comment if its worth else do away with it. A bad quality link or content on your site is like a parasite. Keep your blog clean of spams. Nobody likes those unwanted threads.
To say a no is better than yes.
