Why landing page is a must for your blog

Convert … Convert … Convert…

If you are not converting your blog traffic, if your audiences are not asking you to write more and if they are not downloading your ebooks, then you are not blogging it right. Without conversion blogging is purposeless.

Blogging is most popular means of saying your words to public, getting attention and generating leads. Often many bloggers fail in converting traffic; sometimes they do not create a landing page or do it very casually. Result; very low level of conversion or none at all. Half of the bloggers are a fail because of purpose less blogging.

In today’s world environment you don’t need too much code knowledge to create a landing page. There are many free and paid tools to build landing page for your blog and get conversion.

Some of the bloggers may question, why I need to create a landing page when I am not selling anything but only publish an information blog and make money through affiliates. My site has no errors and I am getting traffic through Google Search. To help you in clearing the clouds here is why should you create landing page for your blog and why it’s vital?

If you are a newbie, let me detail here what is a landing page?

A landing page is a medium to say Hello to your audience. The Call To Action (CTA) of a landing page tells audience to follow certain actions for example to subscribe a weekly newsletter, or download ebboks or register on your blog as a member. It can be made for any and many kind of actions like selling or promoting a product or offering a service. A landing page is the best way to turn blog visitors into potential customers.
Landing page is something that tells your audience what your blog holds inside for them. Of course your home page could also serve purpose of landing page if your message is loud and clearly placed intellectually above top of the fold zone.

Why a blogger should use landing page?

As I said above a Landing Page is a technique to turn your audience into potential customers. You can create an attractive landing page using a landing page creator, add some content on it about your product and service, add some cool design so as to it give your audience a way to follow a certain action. By using landing page on your blog you can make your audience your blog post subscriber or prompt them to buy a product or service. Even you can redirect them to a completely new website or a unique blog post to which you want them to read or ask them to download your recently published ebook from Amazon.

As you know your blog page has many things on to it, e.g. blog posts, comments, adverts etc. Landing page help your audience in taking a clear call.

Mathematics Matters
When you do something but cannot express it in terms of numbers, it’s redundant. Blogging is all about numbers. More eyeballs on your blog mean more business to you. Landing page tells you many things about your audience behavior like bounce rate, click rate etc. You can improve on weaker areas of your blog and focus much on stronger zones, which gives you more conversions.  Landing pages is great tool for collecting email addresses and get more likes on social media.

Helps in Ranking Better
Better rank means higher visibility. In today’s world getting visibility is next to tough. When you run campaigns on your blog for example PPC campaign through Adwords etc landing page helps you in ranking better. For example when you advertise on Adwords targeting your landing page, criteria is narrowed down resulting in better conversions. Relevant ads mean better quality score and cheaper CPC. Often search ads on Google Search leads to a landing page of a website so as to get more conversions.

Landing page is one of the best tools to get conversions from your website or blog. I use Hello Bar on my personal blog to get conversions.  You can use any of your choice like Leadpages, Instapages, Unbounce etc. Selection of a landing page creator completely depends on your requirements. For example Instapage is good for A/B testing, Optimizepress is good for sales page creation. Here is a list of landing page creators, you can chose the best one for your purpose.
