the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has given nod to Indian Railways for use of Satellite’s KU Band Frequency in moving trains.
Now when on train journey you won’t need mobile devices like a data card to surf the internet as your train coach will be somewhat similar like a hot spot to access the web. To start with, at first three rakes of Howrah Rajdhani will be enabled with KU band on a pilot project basis. No additional charges will be asked to use KU band while on journey. The TTE will supply a number to travelers, when you dial this number from your mobile, you will receive a password via sms on your same mobile phone. This will be your user password to access the internet.
