Content writing is a vast field and you can hope it diminish so soon. There are many tools that help you in writing content but no tool work like a human writer does. As a content writer you have many challenges and biggest of these is to survive in the job market.

New products are coming everyday, new companies are coming everyday and hence new demands are coming everyday. I have seen an era in which SEO content gained much much much popularity and now suddenly SEO noise has a break.

In recent times its AI, take help from AI to write content is the suggestion often comes from company owners and work managers. They need fast spun content of course for least possible cost. However, one thing is far sure, these are not the people looking to play long term goal. They are in the market for short period of time.

If you are a content writer, whether already working or the new one one and looking to build your brand, your personal brand then you need to build ties with the employers those are long term players, those who are looking to build a brand that matters.

Perhaps if you are freelancer in the business then you need to work for both type of employers but your priority should be to work with reputed employers.

So question is what you need to become a content writer?

A. Domain Knowledge; an engineer can not writer better in legal areas.

B. Trends; the work methods are changing everyday, new tools and technologies are coming into place replacing humans, for example AI. You should know whats happening in your area of expertise.

C. Reading should be fun for you. If you are not a good reader writing is not for you.

D. Learning about new things should be part of your habits.

E. Writing should be your routine activity. Whether you sell it or keep it for later use.

F. Adaptability is the key. You should be open to explore and adopt new technologies that help you in writing and keep you ahead in the race.

G.  First thing last; INTERESTS. Your best tool is Pencil till next invention overtake it.

Remote working is on the rise.  I worked for clients from Ireland,  Canada,  UK,  UAE etc.  Often my customers were generous enough and intelligent enough and provided me passwords to work.
