Why your business need a website in social media age

Indeed well known fact, but let me say here again, Social Media is the place to connect with like minded people. Social Media is open to all, anyone can join, it's powerful. The power of social media cannot be underestimated. But do you know, Social Media is Open for all with a closed boundaries. Its pretty same like when you need to fly a distant country you need a valid visa too.

Let's come to the website part; I suppose a website is like Open Nature Park where anyone can go, and relax. When you have a website anyone can visit this, more visitors means more popularity. Often monuments are much popular that that specific villa owned by a millionaire in neighborhood.

Website is your virtual space, anything that you do on your website fully belongs to you. Its like those farmlands where you can grow crops of choice that make good dividends for you. People connected to you on a social media platform will come and go, some of those will become truly strong connections. However, you cannot stay and interact with your digital beyond a certain time limit. This is when a website will help you in building new connections too.

A website is near complete reflection of your personality, product or services. On the other hand, social media is a part of all those. Let me explain it with a relationship example;

When a person plans to get married, he/she do many things and many questions are asked. This is true in both cases whether you met your would be spouse through a marriage agent or you fell in love. Certainly nobody falls in love at first sight.

Now lets look to other side when few couples reach to attorney seeking divorce (I wish that should not happen to anyone) and often first question asked is 'why you want divorce'? I am not a divorce lawyer but I can say with guarantee, a quick reply follows, 'I am not happy'.

In social media, people will stay connected to you till they want. Website also gives complete freedom to look into its content or quit. However, a website can reach to larger audience in comparison to a social media handle.

Your website is a permanent place on internet where anyone can visit; Social media handle is temporary.

When you own a website, you posses an overall higher authority on viewers. If social media can be supposed as a luxury car then for definite reasons a website is a Jaguar. Now who won't like to notice a Jaguar on roads?

Hope now, you have answer, you need a website for branding in the age of social media.

Niche blogging or multi niche blogging

 Mind the gaps. Blogging is not a money making machine. If that was even 1% true, people who can pay for peanuts may  have hired entire writing talent to blog for them. Of course there are employers who hire talent in multiple niches to write blog posts. Stories are spun around everything day and night. They don't mind content quality much because they know they have hired enough people to create surface level stories.  Such employers knows well they will get eye balls and business, why should they care about what people are reading. There brand value will be established.  If you are an individual who is choosing blogging as a career note the fact, you can blog in your niche only and your niche is about a thing that you like to learn more, dive deeper and relearn.  Your purpose is simple. Others should learn from your learnings. Time is limited. You can not learn many things together. So chose your best niche, learn and create content that can build your authori...
