How to chose awesome font for a website's homepage copy

A website's homepage is welcome gate of your business. It's the section of a website that hold loads of information in very few words. People are much likely to stop by your websites if it's design is eye catching, it's something that attract user's attention. The information in text on your website homepage works like a welcome message, it is this information which take an user inside of your website. If nobody will go inside beyond home page, nothing will happen. A website's homepage font should be like a pretty girl which everyone tend to appreciate best in his / her own capacity.
Appreciation leads to introduction which further paves the path to conversation.
When conversation stuck something happens. Same is true with your website homepage font. It's fundamental part of your homepage design.
I have worked with many companies as content writer,  and I am still doing that. To my surprise whether design part is outsourced or happens in-house, till date never a single company come my way asking to write in some definite font or to chose mine selectively.
Chosing a font is pretty tough task, there is no definite formula, but the rule of thumb is, do you appreciate it, if you do then for sure your users will do.
Selection of website font depends on many factors
  • Audience Age
  • Website Niche
  • Website Purpose
The website font that you use for writing home page copy works like Call To Action / CTA, in fact it makes for a good CTA. If rolling eyes will stop by your website, then sure they will look for going inside, may be for an email subscription button, or social media links.

Single page website? Not a bad idea. May be you want to sell your products online. You can not write too much as you are too busy in creating and modifying your product. And you need to travel a lot for promotions. Outsourcing could be one of the answer but if your budget is tight then hiring a freelancer may drain your money.
