To start with, at first three rakes of Howrah Rajdhani will be enabled with KU band on a pilot project basis. No additional charges will be asked to use KU band while on journey. The TTE will supply a number to travelers, when you dial this number from your mobile, you will receive a password via sms on your same mobile phone. This will be your user password to access the internet.

Indian Railway is divided over 16 zones; the Northern Railway (NR) is one of them. According to wikipedia article the northern railways is 6807 km long.

The northern railway has launched Automatic Ticket Vending Machines, ATVMs. So next time when you plant to travel in a northern railway train aka lauh path gami – hindi for train use ATM like ATVM to get your ticket. This automatic ticketing system surely will give some relief to passengers from standing in long queues and will generate some added revenue to the railways. So it’s a win-win situation for both the consumer and the (elephant) railways.

Here is little basic etiquette which if you follow other will learn related using ATVMs at different stations.

1. Northern railways has enough passenger load, kindly reach to railways platform well before time of train arrival so you won’t get in hurry for withdrawing ticket from an ATVM.

2. Be in queue, respect the fellow passenger, who ahead in the queue.

3. If you are really in too much hurry can loss million dollar fortunes in a mater of minutes request gently to fellow passenger to get a ticket for you.

4. Take care for the elderly people and kids & ladies in the queue. Your human sense is worth a million pound. Have patience and wait for turn, if you show patience, sure others will. Remember Charity begins from home.

The security deposit to buy smart card is Rs 50 which can be topped up with the minimum amount of Rs. 20/- and further in multiple of Rs. 50/- up to maximum limit of Rs. 1000/- at a time.
You can not load your ATVM smart card for more than Rs 2000.
The Northern offers a flat 5% concession to the passenger over and above the denomination of the Smart Card value as incentive. This is not available for Monthly Season Tickets/Quarterly Season Tickets.
The ATVM Smart Card will be valid for a period of 1 year from the date of last recharge.
Use ATVM to fetch platform tickets and second class tickets and MST/QST renewal.
In case of any damage or lost card report immediately to concerned authority, so your card can be over rammed in data base. In such condition a fresh card shall be issued for a payment of Rs 10 only.

Graphene has Optical Gain Properties; the researchers took epitaxically developed grapheme sheet and bombarded it with 1.55 eV laser pump of very short duration pulses approximately 35 fs.
The amount of light reflected back from the sheet during experiment was amount of light sent. The team of researchers feels that this is because of unique property of grapheme or Optical Gain Properties.

A matter is said to have optical gain properties when shined by a light sources reflects back more light that it received. The property is useful in making of opto electric devices like amplifiers, absorbers, lasers and modulators.

Graphene was discovered in 2004 and since then it’s known to surprise engineers and scientists. In coming years team of researches feels that telecommunication should be grapheme powered.

Hi Folks, withing 24 hr time, since i submitted my requested to Google for my Google Drive, received an email stating Your Google Drive is Ready.

As soon I signed in on Google Home Page, an additional top bar was visible there as "Drive"

Upon clicking drive tab, it guided me to Google Docs where I found a button to Download Google Drive.

Downloading Google Drive is easy as 1,2,3;
Click on Download Google Drive.
Save it to a destination on your computer.
Now a file googledrivesyn will save on your computer.
Downloading is real fast not more than a minute in my case.
As soon download completes, click on google drive sync, and installation will begin.
As soon installation completes a Thank You window will pop out.
In a couple of seconds another window will appear, this will be Google Drive Sign In Page.
Sign in with your Google Account and Password and you will be greeted by the sync window.
You can choose to save all files upto 5GB in a Google Drive.
Also you can chose which files you really want to save in your Google Drive.
Any files that you will save from your computer will remain on your computer.
You can access your Google Drive Files from any supporting devices.

Google is driving Google Drive, oh, not on the streets of Paris, indeed on the clouds.
Yes, you heard right, as soon in put query “drive” in Google Search Engine, the suggestion tool shown me drive.google.com in drop down at No 3, needless to say I followed the link and I was greeted by Google Drive page, where in the extreme top right is a sign in button. I am a google user since a decade or more and so I sign using my google id which drive to the next window saying “your drive is not ready yet, we will inform you in your mail once it get ready” so I am waiting for my new google drive.

What I will get is 5GB of free storage, that means enough to keep articles in rtf format for at least one year from now, sufficient for me. However if you are a business photographer for example, and need more space, you can go for a paid version and google drive will offer 25 GB storage.

At first look it seems, using Google Drive is easy as attaching an email or using a face book account. The people who are already Google Docs user will find it easy to use, however for new users I will personally say, do some hit and try with google docs if you have never used docs before, this will develop an understanding in you how to use Google Drive.

Trust matters, in past 10 years of day and night internet uses I never found any big flaw in google products even in Beta stage. Storing your data in Google Drive means giving access to Google to your important files and information; however they are highly professional and you can believe on them same as you believe on your banker. What to store and what not to store is completely your choice.

Here let me draw a fine line between what to store and what not to store on a Google Drive.

DDoS Attacks - What Can You Do About Them?

A DDoS or Distributed Denial of Service Attack is an illegitimate effort of a person or group to make your computer network or websites unavailable to its user group. In case of a DDoS attack your computer network or website may stop functioning temporarily or permanently. DDoS attacks are biggest threat to network security.
This article is about how to prevent a computer network or website from DDoS attacks.

Identify a DDoS

If you are experiencing any one the following symptoms, this may be a DDoS attack.

1. You are getting millions of zillions of spam email in your email address attached with the network or website.
2. Network performance is pathetic, opening files and loading a website suddenly turned a nightmare.
3. A particular website is not available for very long time, given your hosting server is not under maintenance.
If you experience any one of these symptoms, this is a probable DDoS attack. Don’t panic you can prevent against these.

Preventing Against DDoS attacks

Use Firewalls like Open BSDs pf(4) packet filter; these acts like a connection proxy. For other BSDs its called synproxy. Ordinary firewalls won’t be able to protect in case of attack on port 80 web service.

Use Clean Pipes to prevent against DDoS Attacks. You can buy these from providers like Tata Communications and Verisign etc. When you use Clean Pipes, all traffic request passes through a cleaning center where bad traffic and good traffic differentiated. Central internet connectivity is a must to use these services.

Use Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to Stop DDoS Attacks. These systems are effective when DDoS attacks bears signature. However, an IPS not works with behavior based DoS attacks where legitimate is used with bad intentions. A rate based IPS i.e. RBIPS perfect choice to let in legitimate traffic and throw out illegitimate request.

Use DoS Defense i.e. DDS from DDoS Protection. A DDS can handle both rate based attacks and protocol attacks. Also a DDS is able to prevent against connection based DDoS attacks and those associated with legitimate content but with bad intentions.

Use Sinkholding against Blackholding DDoS attacks. In case of DNS or IP address DDoS attack al request are sent to a not actually existing web server or black hole. This can be successfully managed by ISP using Sinkholding which is capable in rejecting bad requests.

Use Application Front End Hardware to stop DDoS attacks. These can be used with switches and routers. When a request approaches to server, the application front end hardware distinguishes between good traffic and bad traffic and mark them as priority, regular and dangerous.

Importance of HTML, CSS and Javascript in Website Content Writing

CSS means cascading style sheet, the advantage of CSS is that, suppose you have deployed 100 page in plain html on a web server, now after running your website for a year, you got an advert from wall mart, you would require pasting the advert in all 100 pages throughout, at this point little knowledge of html would be a plus. At the same time if you know CSS, you can put the wall mart advert in a single place and publish it universally for 100 pages, this will save you lots of time and energy. Conclusion is that if you are a web content writer, must learn html and css for successful writing career. In addition to this knowledge in javascript is also required.

Sorry for putting you on long wait before publishing new stuff for you. Here we go about how to do content editing and proofreading?

This is not a training manual or course work of how to start your writing or proofreading career, though may be helpful up to some extent to new content editors and authors.
Here I am supposing that you are someone who has written your own content after struggling with research, your article is ready to publish, but before you click publish or submit it to your employer, check and recheck for errors. Here is how to?

As a first step look which paragraphs are longer than usual (this is a bit of styling part), break it into two or more. If required add or delete few lines or words.

Check facts and figures, it’s important, sometime in flow of writing, words keep coming and unusual stuff ads, watch for these. For example your writing is about radioactivity (this is a portion in college physics), since Curie fascinates you, there appearing so many phrases about her life. Mind it your writing is about Radioactivity and not about its inventor, focus on your theme, a reader should be reading this article for radioactivity, match your content with the theme.

Define heading and subheading- If you have predefined them; well, if not insert headings ad sub headings so that your article looks appealing. An article broken into multiple heading seems interesting and easy to grasp.

Be technically correct. Be original, Sun rises in the East, check if you have said Sun rises in the North. Your spell check software won't catch this something called blunder.
Be accurate; don't measure the thickness of an elephant with a screw gauge.

Check use of words- singulars and plurals, right use of verbs, use of synonyms, antonyms and special characters like; ‘: “ blah, blah, …. if these are used precisely in your article.

Check spelling manually, focus on every word, reading end to end spelling. Do not rely on word processor. However, as final step run spell and grammar check utility from your computer.

Take help of dictionary, like Cambridge or Online Encarta, Britannica etc. Use standard ones; do not rely upon cheap stuff.

Once done read your article as a reader, justify if this is something fascinates you as a reader.

You are a budding writer and your work must need to be read to earn you livelihood accompanied with name and fame in writing circle and around. Being writer is not easy, when you write, your words prints and goes public. People follow your ABCs, you have to be extremely cautious before penning the script. This is what separates good writers from bad writers. Precisely speaking, there exist no bad writers; only good and better.

Being a writer you have to polish your skills and upgrade your knowledge on continuous basis. You need to be avid reader. This not mean good reader makes good writers, rather if you have writing instincts, read a lot.

Read everything, that comes your way, this makes vocabulary richer, a must for rich writing.

Identify why a writer among your readers group is most loved, is it because of script, language fluency or cheap price of books.
In most of the cases you will found script is the Key. Other factors are also not less important.
Know your readers, what interests them, keep your language, definitions and facts & figures leveled with them; level headedness is important.
Subscribe to libraries; both online and in house so as to access valuable resources for lesser price.
Your writing need to be such that readers won’t requires help to understand it.
Perform lots of researches before embarking on a particular subject do as much research as you can from authentic resources.
